For two years, the 'Fore Pete's Sake' Golf Tournament has been a part of our two-day event, 'Taking the Next Step. In 2008, however, we are focusing our efforts on creating a single, bigger golf tournament in celebration of its 7th year.
Scientific research in the field of spinal cord injury (SCI) continues to take great strives, and we will be focusing on that research at our event this year. Joining us will be William Alaynick of Sam Pfaff's lab at Salk Institute, Aileen Anderson's lab at the Reeve-Irvine Research Center, and Rick Lieber's lab at UCSD. At the banquet, scientists will present their research with scientific posters, and we will be joined by the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation's President & CEO Peter Wilderotter who will say a few words, as well as VPs Susan Howley and Mark Watson!
And we have more great news! We are reopening the Banquet to the public, so all of our supporters will have the opportunity to learn about the research and our programs, as well as browse our awesome Silent Auction and win a prize (or two!) at the Opportunity Drawing!
