Cindy Goeddel Photography Wildlife Photography Tour
This tour is two days for one person - a day generally being defined as sun-up to sunset. Additional people are $150.00 per day. The two-day tour allows time to explore, learn, practice and begin implementing new techniques. I also like to begin with a slide show the night before the tour begins to discuss digital photography, composition and depth of field. The second evening allows time for critique and questions and I discuss digital workflow, processing and organization of images, followed again by more fieldwork. Most clients prefer 3-5 days.
Wildlife migrations, seasonal color and vegetation, birth cycles, weather patterns, and a sensitive approach to animals determine the itinerary for custom trips. Itineraries are planned to concentrate on either wildlife or landscapes. While watching for a wildlife opportunity, we can easily be distracted by a beautiful landscape and vice versa. There is always an important element of serendipity in natural history photography because there is little control over the light, setting, or subject. Nature photographers need an open creative mind to see the infinite array of beauty that is revealed on the land every day.
I will need to how many days you would like, what computer and software you use for photography, what camera(s) lenses, tripod and other equipment you use. What are your area(s) of interest: wildlife, (specific wildlife, mega fauna, mammals, ungulates, carnivores, butterflies) landscape, waterfalls, wildflowers, abstracts, macro, weather, etc. Are you shooting in RAW? I also need to know if you want digital workflow as part of your day and how strenuous your preferred activity level from short, easy flat hikes, to longer tougher hikes, or if you prefer to photograph from the pullouts or close to the roads.
In this package donated to the QUAD Foundation, I will provide yummy homemade breakfasts, lunches, snacks and beverages for the tour - if you bring additional people and they would also like these meals, it will be an additional $35.00 per day per person. Dinners are usually at a restaurant, or I can provide also for an additional cost.…depending on what kind of a tour you want, I will customize the entire package to best meet your expectations and goals. We are each responsible for our own lodging and other expenses. Due to insurance costs, you will need to provide the vehicle.
